Why is my Vauxhall Movano's engine making loud knocking noises?

I have a Vauxhall Movano and recently noticed that whenever I start the engine, it makes loud knocking noises. This never happened before and I'm concerned about the health of my engine. What could be causing this and is there anything I can do to fix it?
