Hi Hannah, there could be a few different reasons why your engine is making noise. It's always best to have a mechanic take a look to accurately diagnose the issue. However, one common cause of engine noise in Vauxhall Insignias is a loose serpentine belt. This can be fixed by tightening or replacing the belt. Another possible cause could be low oil levels, so make sure to check that as well. Hope this helps!

Hey Hannah, I had a similar issue with my Insignia's engine before. It turned out to be a faulty muffler. If your engine noise is particularly loud, that could be the culprit. It's a good idea to have it checked and potentially replaced to avoid any further problems.

Hello Hannah, I've also experienced engine noise in my Insignia and it was due to a worn out timing chain. If your car has been driven for a while or has high mileage, it could be a good idea to have the timing chain inspected and replaced if needed. Better to catch it early before it causes more damage.
