Why is my Vauxhall Insignia losing power while driving?

I have noticed that my Vauxhall Insignia seems to be losing power while I am driving. The acceleration is not as strong as it used to be and it feels like the engine is struggling. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

One possible cause for your Vauxhall Insignia losing power could be a clogged air filter. When the air filter is dirty, it restricts the air flow to the engine which can result in a loss of power. Try replacing the air filter and see if that improves your car's performance.

Another potential culprit could be a malfunctioning fuel pump. If the fuel pump is not delivering enough fuel to the engine, it can cause a loss of power. You may need to have it checked and possibly replaced by a mechanic.

It's also important to make sure your Vauxhall Insignia is getting regular maintenance, including oil changes. Old and dirty oil can cause the engine to work harder, leading to a loss of power. Make sure to follow the recommended maintenance schedule in your owner's manual.
