I have noticed that when I turn my Vauxhall Insignia, I hear a clicking noise coming from the front wheels. It seems to happen more frequently when the car is cold. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?
ReplyThe clicking noise could be caused by worn CV joints. These joints connect the front wheels to the transmission and allow for smooth turning. Over time, the protective rubber boot around the joint can tear and allow dirt and debris to enter, causing wear and tear on the joint. I recommend bringing your car to a mechanic to have them inspect and replace the damaged CV joint if necessary.
It is possible that the clicking noise is coming from the tie rods. These are connected to the steering system and help control the movement of the wheels. If they become worn or loose, they can create a clicking sound when turning. I suggest having a mechanic check the condition of your tie rods and replace them if needed.
