What should you do if your Vauxhall Vivaro's brakes are squeaking?

Recently, I noticed that the brakes on my Vauxhall Vivaro have been making a loud squeaking noise. I'm not sure what I should do about it. Should I take it to a mechanic or is there something I can do myself?

Hi Samuel, thanks for reaching out. Squeaking brakes can be caused by a few different things, but it's important to address the issue sooner rather than later.

I would suggest taking your Vivaro to a mechanic to have it checked out. They'll be able to diagnose the exact cause of the squeaking and provide a solution.

However, if you're comfortable with basic car maintenance, you can try lubricating the brake components yourself. Just make sure to use a high-quality, recommended lubricant and follow the proper safety precautions.
