Lately, whenever I turn on my AC in my Vauxhall Corsa, I hear a high pitched squealing noise. It only happens when the AC is on and it's getting worse. What could be causing this and should I be concerned?
ReplyHi Maria, that noise could be caused by a variety of issues. The first thing to check would be the serpentine belt. It's possible that it's worn out and needs to be replaced. Another possibility could be a problem with the AC compressor or the bearings in the AC pulley. It's always best to have a mechanic take a look to properly diagnose the issue.
Maria, I had a similar issue with my Vauxhall Corsa and it turned out to be a loose AC belt. It's an easy fix, just tighten the belt and the noise should go away. If that doesn't work, it could be a problem with the AC clutch. Either way, it's best to have a professional take a look.
