Why is the engine in my Vauxhall Crossland overheating?

I recently noticed that the temperature gauge in my Vauxhall Crossland is constantly going into the red zone. What could be the cause of this and how can I fix it?

It could be a problem with your car's cooling system. Check the coolant levels and see if there are any leaks. If the levels are low or there are leaks, you may need to replace the coolant or fix the leaks.

Another possible cause could be a faulty thermostat. This can cause the engine to overheat because it is not regulating the temperature correctly. Consider getting the thermostat replaced.

If there are no issues with the cooling system or thermostat, it's possible that there is a problem with the water pump. The water pump is responsible for circulating coolant through the engine and if it is not functioning properly, the engine can overheat.
