Why is my Vauxhall Zafira Life experiencing loss of braking power?

My Vauxhall Zafira Life has been exhibiting a strange problem where the braking power seems to be gradually decreasing. It takes longer for the car to come to a complete stop and the braking feels much weaker than before. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

The most likely cause for this issue is that your brake pads are worn out and need to be replaced. I highly recommend taking your car to a trusted mechanic as soon as possible to have the brake pads replaced.

Another possibility could be that there is air trapped in your brake lines, which can reduce the braking power. I suggest bleeding the brake system to remove any air bubbles and see if that improves the braking.

If your brake pads and brake lines seem to be in good condition, then the issue could be with the brake booster. The booster is responsible for increasing the force of your foot on the brake pedal. It may be malfunctioning and needs to be replaced.
