Why is my Vauxhall Insignia's emergency brake light always on?

I recently bought a Vauxhall Insignia and noticed that the emergency brake light on my dashboard is always on, even though the brake is not engaged. Is this something I should be concerned about? How can I fix it?

First, check your brake fluid level. If it is low, top it up to the recommended level. If that doesn't solve the issue, it could be a faulty brake switch. You may need to take it to a mechanic for further inspection.

This could also be caused by an electrical issue. Have a mechanic check the wiring and connections for the emergency brake light. It may need to be replaced.

Another possible cause could be a malfunctioning emergency brake system. Have a mechanic check the brake components to ensure they are functioning properly.
