Why is my Vauxhall Insignia making a strange squeaking noise?

I've noticed that my Vauxhall Insignia is making a high-pitched squeaking noise when I start the engine and when driving at low speeds. It's becoming quite annoying and I'm worried it could be a larger issue. Does anyone have any advice on what could be causing this and how to fix it?

It's likely that the noise is coming from your serpentine belt. It could be loose or starting to wear out. I would recommend taking your car to a mechanic to get it checked and potentially replaced if necessary.

I had a similar issue with my Vauxhall Insignia and it turned out to be a faulty pulley. It's best to have a professional diagnose the issue and replace any faulty parts to avoid further damage.

Check your power steering fluid level, as low levels can cause a squeaking noise in the steering system. If it's low, top it off and see if the noise persists. If it does, consult a mechanic for further advice.
