Why is my Vauxhall Corsa making a clicking sound when I turn the key?

I've noticed that when I try to start my Vauxhall Corsa, it makes a clicking sound and won't turn over. What could be causing this issue?

This clicking sound could be indicative of a dead battery. Try to jumpstart the car and see if that resolves the issue. If not, it could be a problem with the starter motor or ignition switch.

E

Another possibility is a worn-out key or ignition cylinder. This can cause the key to not make a full connection when turning the ignition, resulting in a clicking sound. Consider getting a new key or having a mechanic replace the ignition cylinder.

Check your spark plugs and wires. If they are old or worn out, they may not be providing enough spark to start the engine, causing the clicking sound. Consider replacing them if necessary.

It's also possible that there is a fault with the fuel system. Make sure your fuel tank is not empty and check for any clogs in the fuel filter. If the issue persists, it may be a fuel pump problem that requires attention from a mechanic.
