Why is my Vauxhall Astra constantly overheating?

I've noticed that my Vauxhall Astra is constantly overheating, even when I'm just driving short distances. I've checked the coolant levels and they seem fine. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

First, make sure to check your radiator and see if it needs to be flushed out or replaced. Sometimes build up can cause overheating. If that's not the issue, it could be a problem with your coolant temperature sensor.

I had a similar issue with my Astra and it turned out to be a faulty thermostat. If your temperature gauge is constantly fluctuating, it could be a sign that your thermostat needs to be replaced.

You should also make sure to regularly check and replace your engine oil. Old or dirty oil can cause your engine to overheat, so make sure to keep up with regular maintenance.
