What is the difference between the Vauxhall Astra 1.4 and 1.6 engines?

I am considering purchasing a Vauxhall Astra but I am unsure which engine size to choose. Can someone explain the differences between the 1.4 and 1.6 engines and which one would be better for me?

The main difference between the 1.4 and 1.6 engines is the power output. The 1.6 engine has slightly more horsepower and torque, making it more suitable for those who want a more powerful driving experience.

Another difference is the fuel efficiency. The 1.6 engine may have more power, but it also consumes more fuel than the 1.4 engine. If you are looking for a more economical option, then the 1.4 engine would be a better choice.

It really depends on your personal preferences and driving habits. If you tend to drive on highways and need more power for passing or merging, then the 1.6 engine would be a better option. But if you mostly do city driving, then the 1.4 engine would suffice.
