What does the ESC system do in the Vauxhall Crossland?

I recently bought a Vauxhall Crossland and noticed it has an ESC system. I'm not sure what it does and if I need to do anything special when driving. Can you provide some information on it?

The ESC system, also known as Electronic Stability Control, is a safety feature in your Vauxhall Crossland. It helps to maintain stability and control of your vehicle in emergency situations, such as sudden turns or slippery road conditions.

E

In case of a skidding or loss of traction, the ESC system will automatically apply the brakes to individual wheels and reduce engine power to help you regain control of your car. It's important to not turn off this system and to always drive at a safe speed.

A

If you ever notice the ESC light on your dashboard, it means there is a problem with the system. You should have it checked by a mechanic as soon as possible to ensure your safety on the road.
