It's important to first check the coolant level in your Astra. If it's low, top it up and monitor the temperature gauge. If it continues to overheat, there may be a leak in the cooling system.

Another common cause of overheating in the Astra is a faulty thermostat. This can cause the coolant to not flow properly through the engine. It's best to have a professional mechanic replace the thermostat.

If the coolant and thermostat are both fine, it's possible that there is an issue with the water pump. This component is responsible for circulating the coolant throughout the engine. Have a mechanic inspect and replace the water pump if necessary.
