I have noticed a few drops of coolant underneath my Vauxhall Astra and upon inspection, I found a small crack in the radiator. How can I fix this issue?

Firstly, make sure the engine is completely cool before attempting any work on the radiator. Then, drain the coolant from the radiator and remove it from the vehicle. Clean the area around the crack with sandpaper or a wire brush and apply a small amount of epoxy to seal the crack. This should temporarily fix the issue until you can replace the radiator.

If the crack is larger or the epoxy does not hold, you may need to replace the radiator. It is recommended to replace it with a new one rather than a used one. Make sure to properly secure all hoses and connections before filling the radiator with new coolant.

In the future, be sure to regularly check your radiator for any signs of leaks or damage. This can help prevent major issues and costly repairs. It is also important to use the correct type of coolant for your Vauxhall Astra as using the wrong type can cause damage to the radiator.
