My check engine light has come on and I'm not sure what to do. Any advice?
ReplyFirst, don't panic. The check engine light can be triggered by a variety of issues, some of which may not be serious. The best thing to do is to get a diagnostic code readout from a mechanic or an auto parts store. This will tell you specifically what the problem is and how to fix it.
One common cause of a check engine light is a loose gas cap. Make sure yours is on tight and try driving for a bit to see if the light turns off. If not, you may have a different issue.
