I have noticed that my Vauxhall Grandland is not getting great gas mileage and I am wondering what I can do to improve it. Is there anything I can do myself or should I take it to a mechanic?
ReplyHi Emily, sorry to hear that you are not getting great gas mileage. This is a common issue with many cars, not just the Vauxhall Grandland. One thing you can do is try to reduce your speed while driving, as high speeds can greatly reduce fuel efficiency. Additionally, regular maintenance such as oil changes and tire pressure checks can also improve gas mileage. If these tips do not improve your fuel efficiency, it may be worth taking your car to a mechanic for a checkup.
Hello Emily, another thing you can do to improve fuel efficiency is to avoid idling your car for long periods of time. If you know you will be parked for more than a minute, it is better to turn off your engine and restart it when you are ready to go again. Also, keep an eye on your air filter and replace it if necessary. A dirty filter can greatly impact gas mileage. Hope this helps!
