Why is my Vauxhall Mokka making a loud rattling noise?

I've noticed that my Vauxhall Mokka is making a loud rattling noise whenever I accelerate. It seems to be coming from the engine area. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

It's possible that you have a loose heat shield or exhaust component. I recommend taking your car to a mechanic to have it checked out and tightened if necessary.

Another possibility is that your engine oil is low. Check your oil levels and top up if needed. If the noise persists, it could be a sign of a more serious issue and you should have it looked at by a professional.

I had a similar issue with my Mokka and it turned out to be a faulty timing chain. I highly recommend having a mechanic inspect the timing chain to ensure it is in good condition.
