I have a 2015 Vauxhall Corsa and I've been noticing a knocking sound coming from the engine. It's most noticeable when I accelerate or decelerate. I'm not sure what could be causing this issue. Any suggestions?
ReplyThe knocking sound you are hearing is most likely due to worn out engine bearings. This is a common issue in older vehicles and can be caused by lack of maintenance or excessive wear and tear. It's important to get this checked out by a mechanic as soon as possible, as continuing to drive with worn bearings can cause further damage to your engine.
One possible cause of engine knocking could be low oil levels. Check your oil level and if it's low, top it up with the recommended oil for your vehicle. If the knocking persists, it's best to take it to a mechanic for a proper diagnosis.
Another common cause of engine knocking is using the wrong type of fuel. Make sure you are using the recommended fuel for your Vauxhall Corsa. If you've recently filled up with a lower grade fuel, try filling up with premium fuel to see if the knocking sound goes away.
