What Causes Noise in Vauxhall Insignia Brakes?

I've recently noticed a strange noise coming from my brakes when I press on them in my Vauxhall Insignia. It's kind of a squealing sound and it only happens when I'm driving at low speeds. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

Hi Amy, the most common reason for noise coming from brakes in a Vauxhall Insignia is worn brake pads. You'll need to get them replaced to eliminate the noise.

It could also be caused by buildup of dirt and debris on your brake rotors. Try giving them a good clean and see if the noise goes away.

Another possibility is that your brakes are overheating, which can cause noise. Make sure you're not driving with your foot on the brake pedal and consider upgrading to high-performance brake pads.
