Troubleshooting the Engine Oil Light on a Vauxhall Corsa

My engine oil light keeps flickering on and off. I just had an oil change a month ago and the dipstick shows that the oil level is fine. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

The flickering engine oil light could be caused by a malfunctioning oil pressure sensor. It's a common issue in Vauxhall Corsas and can easily be fixed by replacing the sensor. I recommend taking your car to a trusted mechanic to diagnose and fix the problem.

Another possible cause could be a clogged oil filter. If the filter is dirty or blocked, it can cause fluctuations in oil pressure which would trigger the light. I suggest changing the oil and filter regularly to prevent this issue.

In some cases, low oil level can also cause the engine oil light to flicker. Make sure to check your oil level regularly and top up as needed. If the level continues to decrease, it could be a sign of a leak and you should have it checked by a professional.
