Why is my Vauxhall Astra making a clicking noise when I turn the wheel?

I recently noticed that my Vauxhall Astra starts making a clicking noise every time I turn the steering wheel. It seems to get louder when I make sharper turns. What could be causing this issue?

The clicking noise could be caused by a loose or worn out CV joint. It is recommended to have a mechanic inspect and replace it if necessary. Not addressing this issue could lead to further damage and potentially a breakdown.

Another possible cause could be a worn out or damaged wheel bearing. This should also be checked by a mechanic and replaced if needed. Ignoring this issue could lead to safety hazards while driving.

It is also possible that there is an issue with the power steering system. This could be due to low fluid levels or a malfunctioning pump. Have a mechanic check and address any issues to avoid further complications.
